William "Bill" Ayers has been
involved with
boxing and martial arts for over 35
years. Born in East Baltimore, Bill was
small in stature and stood out because of his bright red hair. Bill
lacked
confidence, but was tired of being picked on, so he turned to martial
arts as a
teenager. Before long Bill had the confidence and the moves to
back up his new
found pride. Bill stuck with with martial arts throughout his
teenage years, becoming an instructor at seventeen and eventually
opening up
his own studio, the Fells Point Martial Arts Academy. Bill continued to
be
involved with both martial arts and then boxing for the next 25 years,
becoming a
specialist in training boxers to hit harder with improved mechanics and
his own
style, derived by combining the best of both
traditional
boxing and East Asian
form. Bill quickly became the go-to guy for professional boxers wishing
to
improve their power punches. Bill has
built Boxing Fitness
Center based on his
principals: discipline, respect for others, and a focus on form and
body
mechanics. Bill takes a genuine interest in each and every student
whether you’re
already on an exercise regiment and looking to raise the bar, amateur
or processional
competitor, or someone just trying to get back into shape, Bill will
tailor
the routine to meet your fitness goals.
